The Yukon offers many great camping opportunities that afford you with a genuine feeling of being in the great outdoors. Big Creek Campground, while situated right along the Alaska Highway, is one of those amazing locations that all too often gets passed on by. Don't do this, Big Creek Campground is one very special campground. Immaculately maintained, large campsites and some outstanding hiking in the immediate area of each campsite makes this one of the least visited but most enjoyed by those that do stop and spend the day or just the night.

Each of the 15 campsites offers a unique setting. Some are more secluded, some are creekside and others are especially designated for tent camping. All have picnic tables, fire rings, and level hardpacked gravel sites. Water and firewood are provided as is a very nice shelter in the tent area. Also available in the campground are clean outhouses and hand-pumped ice cold water.

All in all, Big Creek Campground is one of the great opportunities available for your enjoyment. You will find Big Creek Campground at Milepost 647.5 (Kilometre 1042) of the Alaska Highway, access is located on the north side of the bridge over Big Creek.
